Kyrgyzstan is changing its TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) rules: a new code will be introduced for foreigners. - Fchain

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan approved amendments to the resolution “On approval of the procedure for assigning and changing personal identification numbers.”

The decision was made to eliminate regulatory and technical conflicts that arose due to the coincidence of the first digits in the structure of the personal identification number and the tax identification number, as well as to ensure the stable operation of government and commercial information systems.

The gender designation has been clarified in the INN structure:

“1” — woman,
“2” — man (for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic);

A new code, “4,” has been introduced to distinguish license plates assigned to foreign citizens and stateless persons.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies and the Kyzmat agency have been instructed to make the appropriate changes to automated information systems.

The resolution comes into force on July 1, 2025.
